Sewer Bids and Parking Lot Financing on Falls Board Agenda
Hoosick Falls Village Board will open bids Tuesday at 8 pm for the sewer disposal plant and system and then decide if bids will set the exact cost of a proposed parking lot or if a bond issue will be voted for about 53 000 dollars. Village Attorney Dougherty Jr. has a bond plan for board action not to exceed planning board estimates, subject to a permissive referendum filed within 30 days requiring a special taxpayer vote. Trustee Richard Severson may file the petition once required signatures are known. Previous meetings noted bids will be requested and more data gathered before any bond issue vote.

Garden Apartments Seen For Munson Development
Ivan D. Combe of Dorset and Scarsdale NY proposed garden apartments on U S 7 within the Munson Farm development near Manchester. He described two residence units facing a three million gallon pond with plans to preserve the village’s architectural character. Combe noted old houses might become commercial uses like a restaurant and emphasized underground utilities and large lot quality while targeting retired or second‑home residents.
