Pearl Buck Foundation picks Vermont for Amerasian education program
The Pearl S Buck Foundation chose Winhall Vermont as a temporary home and education site for Amerasian children born to American servicemen in Asia. Miss Buck cited Vermont's lack of prejudice and outlined plans to recruit search teams, fundraise, and use Vermont properties in trust to educate and repatriate children to their countries of origin. The foundation operates with volunteers and funds from donors aimed at providing basic needs and higher education for these children.
