Regional plan for Tri-Valley schools sparks role for curriculum overhaul

Highlights show existing facilities across 11 towns are uneven and crowded, needing expansion to support a regional high school. A union district could enroll about 1,200 students, with 67 percent of Manchester and 70 percent of Arlington graduates meeting eligibility but high dropout rates. Recommendations call for updated K 12 curricula, unified prep, expanded foreign language, vocational options, four year foreign language, and exploratory courses in middle grades to guide high school electives.
