Books Art and photography books provide pleasant viewing
A review of Women Artists 1550 1950 by Ann Sutherland Harris and Linda Nochlin notes the book traces why few women were considered outstanding due to 400 years of restrictions, and how today still faces discrimination in exhibiting work. It also mentions Cast of Thousands by Anita Loos, a photo album of Hollywood’s early days with witty commentary.
