Town Village Reach Agreement on Sewer Line Extension
Bennington town selectmen and Bennington Village trustees reached a tentative pact on responsibilities for a new eight inch sewer line extending Beech Street from the town into the village. Morse plans a 80 home development south of Fillmore Street east of Beech Street and will finance and build most of the new main within town and village limits. The village will build a manhole at the village line and handle service connections, with cost-sharing to be determined if village main overload occurs.
