Bennington Board Tackles Enrollment and NEEDS Service
Trustees of the Bennington Graded School District wrestled with rising enrollments and a reassessment of a data processing service. High School enrollment reached 716 as of Sept 1, with elementary totals up from last year. The board approved hiring an extra English and Social Studies teacher and a kindergarten aide to balance class loads._NEEDS scheduling problems caused by errors and 220 conflicts prompted consideration of dropping the NEEDS service, with discussions to keep continuity if possible.
