Short season of a new theatre enthralls Hoosick Falls crowd
Hoosick Falls residents joined theatre peers at Fort Salem Theatre in Salem for the inaugural presentation of Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park staged August 16 to 27. The old Presbyterian Brick Church became a summer stock venue under Judge William J. Drohan and wife, with Ronald Marquette directing and a noted ACC linked cast led by Nan Riley. The production drew enthusiastic audiences and locals credit the Drohans for bringing professional theatre to Washington County, with next season expected to follow next year.
