Protestant youths repulsed in attack on police station
In East Belfast a mob of Protestant youths attacked Willowfield police station on Woodstock road. Prisoners end uprising at Trenton State Hospital
Sixteen inmates transferred from state prisons to the Trenton State Hospital ended a five hour disturbance after negotiating with Robert L. Clifford the commissioner. The inmates demanded to speak with the press and no hostages were taken though three guards were lightly injured. Police ringed the building as inmates used a telephone to reach families and reform leaders.
