SWVSU Secures $50 100 Grant for Remedial Math Reading
George A. Sleeman announced the South western Vermont Supervisory Union has been awarded a 50 100 state Title 1 grant to fund remedial reading and mathematics across 13 public schools from Arlington to Pownal for a 30 week program starting Oct 1. The grant may include 5 000 for materials and equipment, will add remedial teachers at no extra cost to budgets, and excludes Bennington district from the speech therapist provision. The program emphasizes district driven needs, tests before and after, and coordination with BROC and Rev Robert Green approval.
