Arlington sewer project delayed until at least October
Arlington engineers now expect a public information meeting and environmental assessment hearing for the proposed wastewater plant to occur in October or later due to site ambiguity. Negotiations with three landowners stalled over parcels south of Route 313 and east of the Battenkill River, while a southward site shift and lagoon options shape the plan.

Scotland honors Eisenhower mural gift to St Andrews
Arthur Armstrong of Rogers Avenue helped fund and present a portrait mural of President Dwight D. Eisenhower to the University of St Andrews in Scotland on behalf of 30 million Scottish Americans. The artwork by Dean Fausett of Dorset, Vermont, honors the late Rev. Edith Craig Reynolds and was gifted by the Scottish American Heritage and the National Society of Mural Painters. The ceremony featured U.S. Ambassador Anne L. Armstrong and drew many Armstrongs, though not related to the ambassador. Armstrong has made prior world travels and splits time between the Hoosick valley and overseas projects.
