McCafferty Named Deputy Chief of Vermont Secondary Education
Donn McCafferty, formerly coordinator of humanities programs, succeeds Houghton D. Pearl as chief of secondary education in Vermont's Department of Education. He will assist Dr. Earlene V. Russell in coordinating high school programs, bringing enthusiasm for reform and respect for local systems. McCafferty joined the department in 1968 as social studies consultant and was promoted in 1970.
