Work Activities Center Offers Dual Treatment Programs
The Work Activities Center on BenMont Avenue runs two programs for emotional strain and learning disabilities. Some clients with learning disabilities have been released from state institutions to work at the center. The facility provides sewing and woodworking, limited piece work for local plants, and client meal preparation. Group therapy led by United Counseling Service staff enables clients to discuss problems and plans, aiming for community reintegration as active workers.
