Demonstrators Clash With Police in Oakland

Oakland police clashed with about 2,000 anti draft demonstrators outside the Northern California Induction Center. GOP Governors Balk At Viet Resolution

Two Escape From Windsor County Jail

Woodstook sheriff says two inmates David Gosselin 25 of Springfield and Thomas Kenyoth 19 of Windsor escaped Windsor County Jail by widening a corridor wall using a brick and tile cut. Gosselin had a prior escape and is facing grand jury action for grand larceny. Kenyon faced possession of stolen property and breach of the peace charges. Police suspect they used a stolen car to aid the escape.
