Manchester Board Learns Junior High Not Qualified for Aid
Manchester Vermont school board learned the town elementary school’s unit labeled as junior high does not meet legal criteria for a junior high. A Barrows letter states a junior high must run for three grades 7 8 9 and include agriculture industrial arts and homemaking. Since the school lacks these elements it cannot receive state or federal funds as a junior high, with an estimated aid loss around 9500 dollars.
