Demand Grows Fast For Recreation Land
New York reports that recreation land is disappearing as private ownership rises. Terence Ragan of Recreation Land Investments warns that by 1974 families may need three year advance reservations for national parks and by the late 1970s visits to government areas could be rationed. He cites rising second homes and expanding leisure time as driving forces behind the shift from public to private recreation properties.
