Blood Tie review by Mary Lee Settle chose Turkey as setting
A book critique highlights Blood Tie by Mary Lee Settle. The reviewer notes the novel’s Turkish coast setting in Ceramos and questions whether Ceramos corresponds to Bodrum or Fethiye with its Crusader castle and sixth century B C royal tombs. The piece weaves travel lore with literary interpretation.

Blood Tie in Turkey Echoes of Love and Violence
A modern drama unfolds in Ceramos where a fisher boat launch blends ritual blood, sea lore, and cultural clash. Expatriates collide with Turks in a tense tale of love, brutality, and misread signals across a sunlit bay and a sacred mountain tomb.
