Principals Debate 7th Grade Move Across Districts
Mt Anthony plan to move 7th graders to their home districts to ease high school overcrowding prompts mixed reactions from elementary principals. Catamount Barriere raises space and neighborhood concerns while Viereck sees capacity but wants evaluation of social effects, and Carrara says little adjustment could work but adds staff needs. Bisson calls the move educationally favorable, noting benefits of smaller classes and continued reading instruction, while addressing space, staffing, and department structure.
