Tractor Mishap Fatal to Shaftsbury Boy
Wolfgang H. Ludwig Jr., 15, Mt. Anthony Union High sophomore, died after a tractor rolled onto him while compacting a silage mound on his family farm along Tunic Road in Shaftsbury. He suffered head and chest injuries and was pronounced dead at Putnam Memorial Hospital after being transported by the Bennington Rescue Squad. He enjoyed archery and hunting and belonged to the Bennington chapter of Future Farmers of America.
