Facelifted Grand Union Extends Store on North Street
The Grand Union supermarket on North Street completed an exterior face lift and interior renovation. The front was moved about 20 feet into the parking lot and a blue and white Glasweld facade was installed with flags for a celebration including the company’s 92nd birthday. Interior upgrades expanded nearly all departments with new counters, cases, signs, and a reworked meat area featuring a new cutting and wrapping room. Grand Union operates 519 supermarkets and discount centers across 11 Eastern states.
