Bennington Aviation eyes weekend mini trips to Martha's Vineyard
A Bennington Aviation plan offers round trip flights to Martha's Vineyard for 39 dollars per person. Using a 1965 Cessna 310, the service promises a 55 minute arrival from a nearby airport with no car ferries or driving, plus a box lunch. Two Shaftsbury couples joined a trial flight, enjoying a sunlit day on the island. Pilot Allen Isherwood led the coastward trip, noting the craft seats five and travels about 180 mph. If interest grows, the company may make the program permanent.
