Three seriously burned in Willowbrook blaze

A fire of undetermined origin swept through an apartment at Willowbrook in Bennington early this morning gutting two floors and leaving three occupants in serious condition with burns. Helen Masin, 35, is in critical condition at Albany Medical Center with burns covering more than half her body. Her daughter Joanne, 15, and Bruce Banulis, 28, are listed in serious condition in Albany. Banulis carried the others from the apartment before firefighters arrived as 60 firemen fought the blaze, which was not fully extinguished until about 6:30 a.m., with the last unit leaving at 8:30 a.m.

Gaelic Language Book Helps Holder Struggle to Read
