Jury acquits Richard Minckler in Cifelli murder case

A Windsor Superior Court jury found Richard L. Minckler not guilty of aiding in the first degree murder of Manchester bartender Harry Cifelli at the Palace Hotel in Manchester Depot on Oct 5 1976. The verdict followed hours of deliberations and testimony from key witness Thomas V. Shanahan.

Robbery charges loom for Martin and Minckler

Richard L. Minckler and Michael J. Martin, acquitted of a first degree murder tied to the Oct 5 1976 Manchester shooting death of Harry Cirelli, face new court dates. Vermont extradition is sought for Minckler over a Sept 13 1976 Rouses Point New York robbery with a billy club and $140 plus a watch stolen from Thomas Pollack.
