The November 20 PTA meeting at 7 30 p m in the Elementary School will feature a discussion of the new math approach for elementary and high school levels led by Mrs Jean Noble and Roy W Barstow. An open house follows the session.
Wayne Timmer and family return from a two week visit to Pittsburg and New Jersey. Stephen Jacobs and Ricky Stenson come back from a month in California and Mexico. A fathers meeting for sons in Boy Scouts is set for Wednesday at 7 30 p m in the High School Home Economics Room. The Kimball family and 16 month old Mark return from a three week Southwest camping trip visiting Carlsbad Caverns Tombstone Apache Pass Fort Bowie and Mexican missions.
The Dorset Village Public Library board, meeting in February led by president Hugh MacNair, reports a drop in circulation from 6375 in 1957 to 4550 in 1962. Aimed at boosting reader interest, the plan includes weeding nonessential material, reorganizing by category, expanding shelf space, and waiving library fees for school children.
