Farmer, too, contaminated by PBB in Michigan
Alvin Green of Chase, Michigan, shot and buried his dairy herd after it was contaminated with PBB, a fire retardant in livestock feed. He now shows health signs, with his wife noting doctors cannot confirm PBB as the cause. Michigan farmers faced financial losses and health issues from polybrominated biphenyl contamination two years after the incident.

Children’s Christmas seals reflect love and concern from art students
Read about 50 states and four territories submitting art for the American Lung Society Christmas seal campaign. Young painters, many with no art careers in mind, created holiday scenes while teachers contested competitions to avoid ranking students. The exhibit runs Nov 14 to Jan 4, 1976 at the National Collection of Fine Arts in Washington.
