Nuclear Plant Proposed at Easton New York by Niagara Mohawk
Albany extensive studies proceed on a site north of Stillwater on the Hudson River for a 100 million dollar atomic electric plant. Niagara Mohawk president Earle J. Machold says the 800 acre east bank site across Bemis Heights is the proposed location for a second large nuclear plant to be in operation by late 1971 or early 1972. If the site fails to meet standards the search continues a year or more for permits from the Atomic Energy Commission. The plant would generate 750000 kilowatts enough for a city of one million people.

CVPS Corp of Rutland reports a quarterly dividend of 32 cents per share to common stockholders. For the first nine months, earnings per share reached 1.06 dollars, an eight cent rise from 1965, with total common earnings of 1.9 million dollars, up 12 percent. Kilowatt hour sales rose nearly 10 percent to 600.3 million, while average cost per kilowatt hour fell to 7.5 mills.
