Union School Water Hook-up Payment Dispute

Mt Anthony Union High School faces a halt in water service as the Village water commission aims to charge 818.12 for connecting the school to a County Street main. The architect, contractor, sub, and Holyoke Valve have refused to pay, while the board requires the school to cover the full cost. The water department normally shares main-to-curb connections for new homeowners, and had offered to pay part of a Park Street main extension, contingent on the school bearing ditching costs. The school rejected that offer, insisting on a County Street connection, and the board then mandated full payment by the school.
