Apartments rise in old warehouse at 323 School Street
Richard Sleeman of North Adams State College unveils the first of six apartments in a former Wright's Warehouse, built in 1912 by A H Winslow. Six units feature long halls, multiple rooms, three telephones, three cable TV sets, and individually zoned heat. Structural safety and soundproofing aim for quiet living. Contractors include Earl F. Gallett, Lester R. Prue Jr., Eugene L. Freel, J A Winslow, Woodard and Sons.
