Dickey Dam Heralded as New England Public Power Milestone
In a long debated plan, the Dickey Dam near Dicky Maine is approved to supply low cost public power for New England. The project includes Lincoln School dam in nearby Lincoln, creating 760000 kilowatts and 340 foot high Dickey Dam, with 227 million dollars plus 73 million for transmission lines. Construction could start next year with completion targeted by 1972 and up to 3500 jobs created.

Collecting Old Newspapers Captures Berryhill's Hobby
Galion Ohio sports editor Bob Berryhill trunks through 150 to 200 year old papers for wall framing. His finds include an 1840 Brother Jonathan with Zachary Taylor woodcut and an 1807 Massachusetts Spy with a Paul Revere bell ad. Berryhill keeps a nearly complete Boston Chronicle set and rare Mt. Eaton issues tied to Ohio Michigan border disputes. Old papers vanish as readers discard them, he says, due to low monetary value.
