Nudity on TV a hesitant step for Love American Style
Hollywood correspondent Vernon Scott reports Meredith MacRae appears in a flesh toned bikini bottom and pasties in a Love American Style episode. She describes feeling self conscious at first and the censors closely cleared the scene. Her husband Greg Mullavey and father Gordon MacRae objected, while grandfatherly Sheila MacRae was more liberal. The moment is framed as a publicity driven sign of television inching toward nudity.
