JFK Birthplace Named National Historic Site in Brookline

The John F. Kennedy birthplace at 83 Beals Street Brookline was dedicated as a National Historic Site on the 52nd anniversary of his birth. Mrs Joseph Kennedy presented the deed to Russell Train as Sen Edward Kennedy and wife Joan attended the ceremony. The Kennedy family once lived here from 1914 to 1920 and repurchased the home in 1966. The National Park Service will maintain the site seven days a week with Rose Kennedy's voice preserved in excerpts from memories noted inside.
