Rare Violins Rarer Than Most Think

New York UPI reports Mrs. Rembert Wurlitzer cautions that many letters claim attic finds are Stradivarius. A Freeport pawnbroker offered 3500 for a 132 year old violin tied to 1833 craftsman Gagliano, but genuine Strads are rarer and valued between 15000 and 95000. Wurlitzer notes most instruments, even old ones, are not valuable without the Stradivarius signature and advises expert photos before further inspection.
