Environment district shuffle yields new Bennington Windham coordinator
Arlington native Artie KH Menut, a University of Vermont graduate, was named environmental coordinator for Bennington and Windham counties. His reassignment to Bennington followed a governor ordered separation of Bennington County after a 1971 merger. The change shifts coordinators, with Richard Leake and John Mowe taking regional roles while Carter focuses on Rutland and neighboring counties. Menut, a former Marine, MF graduate, and ex economist, will work from the Bennington Commission HQ in Arlington and may split time with Essex Junction for his master’s work. No Act 250 applications are pending.
