Roundhouse Rocks Trigger Loud Debate At Manchester Meeting
A Manchester selectmen’s session heatedly debated Roundhouse rock music practices with Route 11 and 30 residents claiming sleepless nights from the sound. The panel learned the venue lacked a current entertainment permit, prompting a pause on new permits until outside sound limits are established and guidance from an attorney. Residents Samuel and Mrs. Ratcher asserted noise issues persist despite being 300 feet away. Police noted the noise penetrated exterior walls, while Roundhouse owner Richard Finlay insisted the building is well insulated and compliant with state bar and fire rules.
