Chamber plans new tourist center near Deer Park
The Greater Bennington Chamber of Commerce will move its office to a Cape style building north of the Deer Park on Vermont Veterans Home land. The project, designed by Mt. Anthony Union High School drafting students, includes a 12 by 28 foot conference room for 20 directors and public meetings. Construction is funded by a $25,000 estimate, with land owned by the Veterans Home. An automobile raffle begins next month to aid funding, with completion targeted for late next spring.
