Rep Richard W Mallary joined a small group to hike into Lye Brook in Manchester and inspect Wallingford Pond area as part of S 316 proposing 14 000 acre Lye Brook Backwoods and 6500 acre Bristol Cliffs as permanent wilderness regions. A study area extending 20000 more acres across Wallingford Mt Holly Mt Tabor and Weston would also be considered for wilderness designation with Sen Aiken backing the bill.
