Theology is dead Long live theology

Theology in the West is untenable calling for radical change, per a Christianity and Crisis symposium. Respondents urge non Western perspectives and fringe voices to renew theology, with some noting lively lay interest despite clerical decline and others cautioning against tying theology too closely to social movements. The discussion highlights shifts from giants like Niebuhr and Barth and calls for renewed language born of broader experiences.
