Inmates Escape From Waterbury State Hospital
Two Waterbury inmates armed with a .22 pistol overpowered three attendants and fled the Waterbury State Hospital Tuesday night. Zane Badore and Edward Charbonneau, both Burlington men, were described as dangerous. Roadblocks and search efforts spread across the night as authorities suspected they headed toward Canada. Charbonneau had a Windsor State Prison transfer and Badore was held for breach of peace. A visitor reportedly supplied the gun, with bloodhounds tracing their route to the hospital parking lot.
