More GOP voices join call for resignation

Pennsylvania Senator Richard Schweiker joined a growing Republican chorus urging President Nixon to resign over Watergate transcripts. Other GOP figures including Senators Marlow Cook Edward Brooke James Buckley and House leaders Rhodes and Anderson voiced concerns as White House aides argued for due process and Nixon's continuation in office. Aiken of Vermont declined to call for resignation and urged Congress and courts to decide while noting he would not have released the tapes himself.

Nixon may have known more than he admits says Dear
