Voters Approve $1.2 Million Mt Anthony Union Budget
Voters of the Mt Anthony Union School District approved Monday night a 1.2 million dollar operating budget for the 1966 1967 school year. The budget totals 1 207 904 with 32 000 expected receipts and six member district assessments ranging from 2 to 65 percent. The six districts Bennington North Bennington Shaftsbury Pownal and Woodford comprise the union district which serves grades 7 through 12 and faces a cost per pupil of 830 based on 1454 students.

Man Killed In One-Car Crash In Vermont
RICHMOND UPI Charles A. McCuen 25 of Barre was killed instantly when the car he rode in crashed into a bridge abutment on Interstate 89. The car, owned by Michael McManus 30 of Montpelier, swerved on ice, left the road and hit the abutment. McCuen was Vermont's 23rd highway fatality of the year.
