Computers May Be Key to Solution In Bay State Double Murder
In New Bedford Massachusetts authorities hoped computer analysis at the registry of motor vehicles would identify the owners of cars seen near the crime scene that killed Ray mond Frenette an electrical engineering student and his fiancee Judy Szatek a nurse student both 21. Witnesses described a 35 to 40 year old man in a tan or gray jacket with a felt hat near a station wagon and another green car as possible leads while a dog stood on Frenette s car tail gate. Ballistics favored an automatic pistol at close range though a rifle could not be ruled out. The investigation continues with photos from the scene being reviewed for clues.
