Vermont Legislature Adams to 90 Percent Federal Road Share
The Vermont Senate advanced a joint resolution urging the federal government to cover 90 percent of road project costs and interstate maintenance, citing rugged terrain and small population. A bill designating the Purchasing Division for surplus property passed, with new measures introduced for Jay State Park funding and college tuition costs in neighboring towns. A car theft law overhaul would require drivers to stop, turn off engines, remove keys, lock ignition, and set brakes, but won’t shield larceny charges in all thefts.
