Officials of Vermonts two largest electric utilities plan a 60 million dollar atomic power facility to start by 1969. The plant would generate 350000 to 450000 kilowatts and supply all state distributors. Site search has begun, with possible joint construction by Central Vermont Public Service and Green Mountain Power or by a new or existing company. Velco, the transmission group, exists to move power from St. Lawrence and Niagara sources.
