Manchester leads county in drug program efforts
Manchester's drug prevention showcases include three workshops since September and a weekend program pairing 15 former addicts from New York City with local families. Students and Burr and Burton and Manchester Elementary School organized the encounter at MES, with sessions for youth and a parent-focused Saturday evening. Center staff emphasize open talk, withdrawal steps, and ongoing family education, while warning that marijuana acts as a gateway and that relapse remains possible.
