Low bidders named for town water improvement project
Town Manager Louis C. Savelas announced apparent low bidders for a three part water project with Belleck Co. from Albany area at 296,590 for water line Maximillian of Massachusetts at 438,763 with an alternate 401,676 for the pumping station and 109,712 for the pumping segment. Fifteen firms bid as the town will bear costs beyond the 800,000 grant. Also noted is rescheduled selectmen meeting for Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in the town office. Police report lists multiple vehicle incidents on Route 7 including a 1971 Toyota driven by Brian Sheedy, 21, of Stamford, with damage after leaving Avenue.
