Airman 3.C. John M. Juby of Adams Massachusetts reported for duty at Oxnard Air Force Base California assigned to the 27th Air Division Command after basic training at Lackland AFB San Antonio and an honor flight. He earned an M 16 expert marksmanship certificate and was rated highly qualified in administrative skills and general accounting. He is a 1961 Adams High School graduate and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Juby. He studied at University of Bridgeport University of Massachusetts and North Adams State College and worked toward a business management degree while enlisting January 3. He was employed part time at Ed Levin's in Bennington and with Polygraphic's accounting office at enlistment. He and his wife Marianne Cote of Kingston traveled from Albany to California February 28, reporting for duty March 4.

Honor Roll To Be Removed In Bennington Village Meeting
Bennington selectmen discussed removing the crumbling honor roll in front of town offices and possible repair plans by veterans groups. The town highway crew will take it down when snow cleanup allows. a town-wide recreation budget proposal was suggested for next year. A 7:30 p.m. March 28 meeting is scheduled.

18 Year Old Fined for Three Traffic Violations
William F. Hatch, 18, of 102 Fillmore Street, was fined 95.10 after pleading guilty to three traffic offenses in district court. He admitted speeding on V1. 67A, passing on a restricted view, and leaving the scene of an accident at a North Bennington Twista Burger parking lot. The judge noted an adult would face 100 fine for the hit and run.
