Car Flips End over End in Pownal Accident

Two Williams College students and two other youths were injured when a southbound 1960 Chevrolet Corvair left U S 7 in Pownal struck guard posts and tumbled down a embankment. Charlotte Killian 20 and Steven Wolff 22 were listed in fair condition at Putnam Memorial Hospital. Michael Piel 21 and Jan Van Horne 22 were treated and released. Charlotte’s sister Constance Killian 18 had minor injuries. State police said the crash occurred about 1 15 a m near the guard posts and the car was demolished. See ACCIDENT Page 12 Col 6.
