Is Rockefeller a liability for Ford in 1976
Washington analysis portrays Nelson Rockefeller as a growing liability within conservative GOP ranks while Ford lavishes praise on the vice president. The White House debt is to keep Rockefeller as a factor for attracting middle voters, even as right-wing lawmakers push to pressure Ford into dropping him as running mate. Ford signals Rockefeller could be his 1976 ticket, aiming to broaden the party and win independents and moderates.

Melted Earth particles formed the moon say Australian scientist
A. E. Ringwood of Australian National University argued at a Lunar Science Conference that molten crust material expelled during Earth's rapid early rotation condensed into the moon. He estimated surface temperatures above 2000 C and suggested 2 to 3 percent of the surface contributed to moon formation, with the moon forming in under a century. In contrast, a separate note recalls St Louis cable cars arriving in 1886 before electrified trolleys in the 1890s.
