Woodford campground appeal setback noted in court
JUDSON BROWN reports a district environmental board continuation in Bennington County Court as hearings reveal hazardous traffic risks for a 124 unit Woodford campground off Route 9. State official Frank Evans says left turns onto the access road would cause dangerous conditions, with selectman William Lauzon agreeing. The access road sits on an eight degree Route 9 curve, complicating U turns across uphill westbound traffic, prompting consideration of a ban on left turns at the junction.
