At Clark Air Base Philippines Maj. Floyd Thompson the longest held American prisoner of the Vietnam War walked free with 31 other POWs completing the Homecoming. He was captured March 2 1964 while an observer and wore a green beret presented in Hanoi. The group joined 116 others released over the prior two days. 147 Americans remain prisoner in Indochina with all to be released by March 26 per cease-fire.
