Senate votes to restore death penalty for treason crimes
UPI reports the U S Senate approved a bill 54 to 33 to restore capital punishment for treason espionage and certain murders hijackings and kidnappings sending the measure to the House. It would allow death when aggravating factors exist while mitigating factors could limit or bar executions.
